Rimuto is the highest ranking member of The Organization known.

Appearance[]

Rimuto is an old man of indeterminate age. His sparse hair is silver and swept back, leaving the prominent wrinkles on his forehead. He wears a long, black coat with a gold, metallic collar.

Personality[]

Rimuto has a rather sinister personality. He is good at making plans and giving orders and treats everyone as tools and doesn't care a bit about others. He cares about the final results, not how the process is made. When he talked with Raftela it is clearly shown how he doesn't listen to anyone except himself and how he doesn't care about any of the other Claymores. He claimed it was okay to crush their minds making them just dolls he uses. He remained calm when the Organization had been attacked while the rest were starting to worry wearily.

Biography[]

Rimuto is first seen talking to Rubel regarding the disappearance of Clare. He knew Ophelia had Awakened and been killed, but didn't believe that Clare was the one to kill her.

Miria show Rimuto's head

He orders Ermita to send Galatea to look for Clare.

Seven years after the Northern Campaign Rimuto is seen holding a meeting with other Organization members. Clarice had informed them that seven swords were missing from the North and that the Claymore's words had been left embedded in the snow like graves. Rimuto decided that it was unlikely any Claymore had survived and it had just been Awakened Beings playing with the swords. He also decided to switch Nina for Claymore No. 7 to try and keep the remaining Northern Awakened Beings suppressed. Rimuto is beheaded by Miria after the Organization is overthrown.

Etymology[]

"Rimuto" (sometime translated as "Limt") is a transliteration of the Japanese "Kurimuto" (クリムト, pronounced "kur-e-mu-ta"). "クリムト" is translated back as "Klimt," perhaps alluding to the Austrian Symbolist painter, Gustav Klimt (1862–1918).
