Teresa of the Faint Smile, Part 5 is the 16th chapter of the Claymore manga series.
Summary[]
In Rokut, Teresa slays the Yoma there and asks if anyone in the village would be willing to take in Clare. The village chief agrees to this and, even though Clare protests and cries at the prospect of separation, Teresa leaves her in the village, thinking that she will lead a happy, safe life there. She is soon proven wrong, however, when the bandits that attacked them in the forest ride past her towards the village. In a panic, she hurries back, but the bandits have already struck. Anyone who tries to attack the bandit chief is cut down with his 'falcon sword'. Teresa finds the bandits in time to see the one-handed bandit capture an unconscious Clare. The bandit goads and taunts Teresa until she snaps. She kills him and, in a fury, says that she will kill all of them.
