"Egon" from Anime Scene 1, "Great Sword"

Village in vicinity of Doga and Stora. "Egon" is first mentioned by an innkeeper early in the series[1]. Egon may be in Lautrec.

History

Where Clare deposits an unconscious Raki at a local inn, after rescuing him in the desert.

Later, when Raki searches for Clare, he meets an acclaimed "Claymore," a Yoma in disguise, in wooded outskirts of town.

Behind the Scenes

  • "Egon" may derive from the Austrian Expressionist painter, Egon Schiele (1890–1918).
  • "エゴン" (Egon) pronounced "egg-on" in Japanese, similar to the original German.
