Marked for Death (死者の烙印, Shisha no rakuin) is the 7th episode of the Claymore anime series. It first aired on May 15, 2007.
The seventh anime episode of Claymore, adapted from the manga by Norihiro Yagi. The episode was first broadcast on May 15, 2007 and was directed by Hiroyuki Tanaka and produced by Madhouse Studios. It was dubbed by Funimation and released on DVD Volume 2 in 16 December 2008.
Two Claymores are seen in a village battling a large amount of Yoma. Named Sophia and Noel, they argue over who has killed the most Yoma. They also debate over who is ranked #3 as opposed to #4. Another Claymore, Irene, appears and stops their argument. Sophia and Noel ask why they have been brought together, knowing any one of them could have dealt with the Yoma, and Irene tells them #2-5 have been ordered to execute Teresa. Noel tries to remember who #5 is, but when Sophia tells her it's Elda, Irene corrects her. She says she has been demoted from #2 to #3 and that a fairly new Claymore is #2. Just then, Priscilla arrives, apologising for being late, and she is then introduced as the new #2. Noel is angered due to the fact that Priscilla is merely a child and attempts to challenge her to a duel, but then the three see that Priscilla has killed a whole nest of Yoma by herself, which explains why she was late. Noel and Sophia are shocked for not noticing the batte, and Irene informs them Priscilla kills without releasing her Yoki, just like Teresa.
Teresa and Clare are staying in an inn after slaying a Yoma in the same village. Clare falls asleep on Teresa's lap, but the peace doesn't last long as Teresa senses three Claymores entering the village. Irene finds Teresa’s room and starts attacking the latter after a short coversation. Sophia attacks from the floorboards below, then Noel tries to attack from the window, but Teresa grabs Clare and leaps out and onto the street below. Outside, she is attacked by Priscilla and is barely able to defend, shocked that she never felt Priscilla's Yoki. They battle, but Teresa begins to gain the upper hand. Irene, Sophia and Noel interrupt and surround Teresa, believing they can win if it's four-on-one. Priscilla apologises to Teresa for not fighting one-on-one and releases her enormous Yoki in tandem with her three comrades.
